Sidmouth Seniors played for the annual Charity Bowl on Monday, with most of the entry fees being donated to the Captain’s Charity, Sidmouth Hospiscare, writes Hugh Dorliac.
A big field of players started out in threes at 8am to try to win the prestigious bowl.
When all had completed their rounds, the winner was found to be Glyn Hewitt, who had recorded a magnificent 46 stableford points, 10 better than par.
His handicap will be three shots lighter next time out! The runner-up was Paul Blay on 42, which on another day would have been a winning score. Third place went to Ken Price on 37 and John Billingsley on 36.
