With the green staff placing the pins in tough positions ready for Sundays picture match the scoring was tough in the latest Sidmouth Jewellers Friday stableford, writes Chris Roberts.

This was evident in that the wining score by Jonathan Lee with a level 36 points. Mark was just one point back and must have been reminded of the triple bogey on the third by the manager at least half a dozen times.

Club captain Dave Pepperell secured the third spot with 34 points by virtue of a birdie on the 18th.

James Spiller managed to finish in the points and is now 13 points clear in the league over the manager who is closely followed by John Jones and Mark Thomas.
