The Sidmouth College year-8 netball team excelled at the East Devon Finals, finishing runners-up in cold conditions at The King’s School.
The college team, made up of, Emily Dawkins, Charley Gardiner, Sophie Moore, Lucy Scrivens, Bryony Monaghan, Emily Vicary, Jasmine Bond and Robyn Hansford, battled through their group matches, including a victory against the hosts, to secure a semi-final against a strong Uffculme side.
They dished up a superb all-round performance to net a two goal victory and so play Colyton in the final.
Sadly the final proved a step too far, but a second place finish was a fantastic achievement.
The coach and team would like to than parent, Mrs Monaghan, for her support throughout.
