Sidmouth ladies contested the first County Prize Par competition of 2018, writes Maria Clapp.

Played on a sunny day beneath blue skies, the course was in excellent condition, though it was a little chilly! The view from the first green, looking down towards the sea front, was fabulous!

This competition is usually played on the first Wednesday of the month and it is an accumulative competition where points are awarded to the players. The prize for this competition is played for by players from across the county at the end of the season.

Great news this week, as three of our newer members claimed the first three positions! First place went to Annie Carter on countback from Marian Andrews, with the first two both home with a score of minus one. Third place went to Mo Kendall with a score of minus two. Well done, ladies.
