Sidmouth Ladies played a County Prize competition last week and there is certainly no room for error with this format.

Sidmouth Ladies played a County Prize competition last week and there is certainly no room for error with this format.

First place was Ros Eaton with a score of plus two. Second, with plus one, was Yvonne Anning and third place went to Mandy Furniss who returned to the clubhouse all square.

There was just the one two recorded, scored by winner Ros – and she therefore won the pot!

One of our new members, Chris Cave, achieved a two on the sixth, which was a splendid effort!

The weather was a bit dubious, but we were very lucky and it stayed dry for the round.

Maria Clapp and Anne Blackler played in the second round of the Doris Wills Little County Competition.

They both played some terrific golf and made very few mistakes. However, a close encounter was finally settled on the 18th hole at Tiverton in favour of the opposition pair who hailed from Potmore.
