Sidmouth cricketer Tom Simmons has been selected by Devon Under-15 to tour South Africa in 2017.

Sidmouth Cricket Club, local businesses and parents all pulled together to help raise funds towards the cost of the trip .

Many businesses kindly sent donations to the club to support Tom and a huge thank you goes to; Everys Solicitors, Hairloft Hairdressers, M5 Textiles, Drainmaster South West, Emm Lec Construction, Silver Lynx Travel and AA Taxis.

A ‘Pamper Night’ was held at the club to help continue the fund raising effort.

Local businesses generously donated their time and expertise to pamper all those ladies who attended. Utopia Hairdressers, Flo’n’Us, Miranda Hansford, Sasha Harrison, Emma Donovan, Kim Fowler, Ammie and Esther all gave up their time to provide top quality treatments for the guests and a massive thank you goes to them all.

Special thanks are due to Julie Clayden and Lorraine Fowler for organising ticket sales, pamper treatments, food and drinks and to Rob Fowler for arranging the evening. Wonderful raffle prizes were donated by - The Victoria Hotel, Harbour Hotels, Aspara, Tangles, Otter Breweries , Sidmouth Wines, The Blackhorse Inn, Volunteer Inn, Golden Lion Tipton, Hairloft, Pure Indulgence, Phab Hairdressing, Willow Photography, S J B Foods, The Radway Inn, Utopia, Royal Glen Hotel, Complete Meats, Oliver Joseph Fitness, Serenity Life West Hill, Ammie, Esther and Bev, Janine and Mel.

The event was extremely well supported and the evening was a great success raising over £1,000 towards Tom’s trip.
