Sidmouth Croquet Club beaten at East Dorset

Sidmouth Croquet Club’s first match in the South West Federation Golf Croquet Level Play League saw them go down 13-7 to last year’s league winners East Dorset.

Team captain Graeme Pryor, Philip Harris, Ian Simpson and John Coombes travelled to Parkstone, Poole for the encounter.

In these matches a total of 20 games are played, comprising four doubles and 16 singles, each game timed at 50 minutes.

By lunchtime, four doubles and four singles were completed with East Dorset winning all but one doubles game. Sidmouth fared better in the afternoon, winning five games and drawing two.
