Sidmouth Croquet Club’s Association Croquet Intermediate League team continued its winning run at Sidmouth with a convincing win over Exeter Croquet Club, writes David Bishop.
As expected, both teams were fairly evenly matched in handicaps with all the seven games incomplete after the time allowed. Sidmouth, however, prevailed by winning six of the seven.
Exeter’s sole win was a closely fought game between John Patterson and Sidmouth captain Graeme Pryor who, despite leading for most of the game, lost 15-17 after a spectacular comeback by his opponent.
