Sidmouth hosted their Dinner Dance at the clubhouse with a full house sitting down to a superb meal after being greeted by the club captain colin Macklin and hostess Sally Fox with a glass of fizz, writes Hugh Dorliac.
The clubhouse had been decorated in gold and silver for the evening and the partygoers were resplendent in their DJs and glamourous frocks and the ladies looked wonderful too!
After dinner guest speaker, Peter McGovern, an ex-professional at the Belfry and excellent raconteur, kept the house in fits of laughter as he recalled his life and times in the golfing world.
He finished amid a generous round of applause. There followed much music and dancing well into the late evening before the last revellers were seen making their way into the night, hopefully before their transport turned into pumpkins!
A tremendous night for Sidmouth Golf Club, and, without doubt, one of the social highlights of the year.
