A lovely summers morning greeted the ladies of Sidmouth Golf Club for the latest round of the County Prize series.

Good scoring was achieved thanks to the pristine condition of the course. The winner with a score of plus one was Maria Clapp narrowly edging out in form lady captain Liz Chance who finished all square. Third place went to Judy Ritz with her score of minus two.

Angela Coles and Maria Clapp represented Sidmouth in the regional qualifying round of the Coronation Foursomes at Came Down Golf Club, Dorset.

They finished in a tie for fifth place from a field of 70 pairs, thereby narrowly missing out on a trip to the National Finals at St. Andrews!
