Paul Hitchcock, Steve Punter and Vernon Ruffle enjoyed success in the Easterbrook Eaton medal meeting, writes Chris Roberts.

In Division One Hitchcock took the top spot with a impressive level par gross score lowest gross of the day, giving him a net 60.

His round included three birdies, a bogey, a double-bogey and thirteen pars.

The ever-present on the leader board, Duncan Taylor, took second spot with a net 66, with his score being admirable given he started with a double-bogey on the first.

Also serving up a net 66 was Bob Johnston who was edged out into third spot on countback.

Division Two went to Steve Punter who picked up his second medal of the year with a score of nett 61. His was also the lowest gross of the division.

Brian Marginson was second with a net 65 edging out John Game (net 66).

Game’s highlight on his round was a two on the tough 11th.

Vernon Ruffle carried his good form from Friday into Saturday to secure the top spot in Division Three with a net 68 even after finishing with three triple bogeys.

John Nichole carded the lowest gross in the division for a net 70 to claim second place and third went to consistent Sean Murphy, again finishing in one of the top spots in a medal with a net 74.
