Sidmouth B League Association Croquet team of three went to Budleigh to play their third game of the season, writes Colin Walls.

The morning went well with Pamela Bowra and Muriel Philpott winning their doubles and Derek Powell his singles.

After lunch there were three games of singles.

Philpott claimed a second success, but Powell, after a very close fight, lost by one hoop, and Bowra also suffered a narrow reversal.

Sidmouth, however, just scraped through, with the final result being three to Sidmouth and two to Budleigh.
