Sidmouth bowlers emerged as winners when they entertained Plymouth Retired Civil Servants, writes Carol Smith.

This fixture is an annual one and our now good friends from South Devon made the annual ‘pilgrimage’ to Sidmouth for an afternoon of bowling and socialising that was enjoyed by one and all.

This time round there was no ‘Pilgrims Progess’ for the match honours went to Sidmouth to the tune of a 122-94 final score.

The top home wink was the one of Roy Eglon, Peter Bloomfield , Jill Mison and skip Ken Robertson.
