The last leg of the Jurassic Winter League trophy was played at Axe Cliff with teams from Sidmouth, Lyme Regis and the host club taking part, writes Hugh Dorliac.
The weather was set fair and dry as the captains drove up the first, and remained kind throughout the afternoon.
With a fairly strong wind to contend with, some holes felt longer than normal and scores in the main were fairly modest with a few exceptions, mainly on the Lyme team.
This translated into a comprehensive win for Lyme both on the day and in the final result.
Axe Cliff made a fighting comeback, using home advantage to the full, and overtook Sidmouth to come second. The Sidmouth senior team will have to wait until next year
