Sidmouth have been given a free ticket to the Euro Shopper Devon Senior Cup after Plympton became the second semi-final team to withdraw from the competition in 24 hours.
Bradninch were the first to cry off from their meeting at home to Exeter – the Tolchards Devon League A Division champions-in-waiting have availability issues – and now A Division strugglers Plympton have pulled out of their match set for the Fortfield on Sunday.
This all means that Sidmouth and Exeter will contest the final of a competition that has seen some five matches played in its entirety this season (by the conclusion of the semi-final round there had been due to be 12 matches played!)
The final is at Tavistock on Sunday, August 21.
