Sidmouth Ladies held their annual match between the President’s team and the Sheelah Creasy team, in preparation for the coming season, writes Maria Clapp.
These teams represent the club at two levels around Devon.
Victory went to the President’s team, winning five-and-a-half to one-and-a-half.
What’s more, at last the ladies have managed to play a fixture on a Wednesday, in perfect spring-like weather!
There were 18 ladies that took part in the Grandmothers’ Trophy. Therefore, not all ladies were eligible to play!
Although the weather was perfect, the conditions were slightly challenging, due to the recent weather.
That said, two of the ladies found it easier than the rest of the field!
In first place was Linda Reynolds with 31 points and the runner-up was Penny Lyne with 30 points.
There were no twos recorded and so the pot of money will roll over to next week.
