On Sunday, Sidmouth Golf Club made their debut in the Dartmoor League with an away match against Woodbury Park.
Though not quite sure what to expect in this new enterprise, the team pushed the hosts very hard indeed, but could not quite come away with a drawn match, with Woodbury turning out winners by three matches to two.
However, those two away match wins, from Terry Jones and Neil Faulkner, and Harrison Jones and Moray Bosence are also both league points, giving Sidmouth a handy start.

The next match is again away, the long trip to the Elfordleigh club from Plymouth on 2nd May before playing a first home match against Bigbury on 15th May.
Before those games, the Club has an away fixture in the Knock Out Cup at Teign Valley. Stover and Exeter are also in Sidmouth’s Division.
