This Wednesday there was a par competition for the ladies at Sidmouth, part of the monthly County Prize series, writes Penny Ashby.
Two golfers came in with excellent plus scores, thereby having their handicaps reduced. Sue Billinghurst scored plus five and Maria Clapp plus two.
Close behind in third place was Diana Anderson with her score of par.
Last Wednesday Penny Lyne and Marie Timms played and won against Bigbury in the Vets Knockout competition at Dartmouth golf club.
They will now proceed to the next round of this contest.
On Friday, July 4, there will be a charity golf event held at Sidmouth Golf Club for the Macmillan Hospiscare fund, in which golfers from all over East Devon will be taking part.
