The Ladies of Sidmouth Golf Club were thrilled to return to a course that looked stunning and were greeted with unseasonably warm weather for the final round of the Joyce Chambers Rose Bowl and Rose Basket competition.
The stableford winner with the best score overall was Vanessa Ireson with an impressive 40 points, who wins the Rose Bowl and the club competition. The runner up was Maria Clapp also with a good score of 37 points.
The winner of the Rose Basket was Mo Borer with her best score of 36 points. The runner up was our immediate past Ladies’ Captain Penny Lyne with a score of 35 points. Well done ladies, it just goes to show a three-month layoff is no detriment to good golf.
Immediately after their round, past Ladies' Captain Penny Lyne handed over the Brooch of Office to Mo Kendall, new Ladies Captain for 2021. We wish Mo a highly successful year.
