The Sidmouth Ladies have made an incredible start to the competition season, clocking up some valuable points, as the golfing campaign enters a crucial period.
The early success for Sidmouth GC included a win at home for the President’s team against Exeter on Friday, May 20 and also a win for the Sheelagh Creasy team against Great Torrington at home on Monday 23rd May. Both victories saw some terrific individual performances and an impressive team ethic that bodes well for the weeks to come.
On Wednesday, May 25, the Sidmouth Ladies played for the King’s Trophy, a yearly competition sponsored by Kings Garden Centre. Despite the persistent showers, the ladies came in with some impressive scores.
Coming first with 39 points was Andrea Milton, second with 38 points was Marie Timms and third with 27 points was Penny Anderson. They all received vouchers donated by Kings as prizes.
