In the Annodata cup on Sunday at Crediton, Sidmouth's team captain Kym White saw his team pitched against a low handicapped Crediton side.
First out for Sidmouth was Terry Jones giving one shot to his opponent. He fought all the way, only losing a close match on the 18th hole. Kym White followed and with three down and four to play only lost on the last hole himself. Sidmouth two down!
Will Hastie won 5 and 3 followed by Moray Bosence taking his match 2 and 1. It was all down to Craig Melluish, the teams long shot, to try and win for Sidmouth. After a hard game, he too came in with a magnificent win of 2 up to take Sidmouth through to the next round.
In the Sidmouth Jewellers Stableford competition, first place was Jonathan Lee, winning on countback with 39 points ahead of Ben Gibbs and Howard Cushing, while Sidmouth Seniors had a draw at Teign Valley.
