Well here we are again - the beginning of the new Indoor Season - 2015/16 - and what do we have? Yes - the perfect Indian Summer, writes Susie Bonnell.

Glorious perfect days for outdoor bowling - better than many we had this summer - but all that aside, we took ourselves indoors and begun the transition from heaving the bowls up the green to being oh-so dainty and delicate!

The ditch took a pounding from all those who had been bowling outdoors when we held the Ladies Opening Drive on Friday.

With lots of laughter and a sense of a new challenge, the Sidmouth Bowling Club Ladies, led by this year’s ladies’ captain, Mary Turner, got down to the business of adapting to the indoor rinks in readiness for the games and competitions ahead. We know it’s hard right now - but when we hear the rain beating down on the roof and a gale is blowing outside, we shall be glad of the Sidmouth Bowling Club indoor rinks.
