With some unsettled weather in the morning it was the later starters who put together the best scores in the latest Sidmouth Jewellers Friday meeting, writes Chris Roberts.

Jonathan Lee took full advantage of this and scored 37 points to take the victory including three birdies and a two.

Much to the club manager’s enjoyment one point back was James Spiller and Mark Thomas both with 36 points and, with James pinching second place on countback, I can safely say that he did mention the result to Mark!

James and Mark both had a brace of birdies each of which one where twos.

John Jones still heads the league table by an impressive 15 points over James Spiller with Mark Thomas a further five back.
