The latest round of action in the Sidmouth Jewellers Friday meetings saw Steve ‘the chief’ Crabb stroll to victory with a 41 point haul, writes Chris Roberts.
The Chief’s three over par gross round including a chip-in birdie three on the eighth to top a great round. Second place went to ‘Mr golf’ Craig Melluish, who edged out Steve Channing on countback after both had scores of 37 points.
Melluish started strongly with a birdie on the first after hitting his drive of the toe of the club, but still managing to find the centre of the fairway quickly followed with a two on the fourth.
James Spiller finished fifth to extend his league at the top of the table.
He now has a 19 point advantage over his nearest competitor Jonathan Lee.
