The penultimate Sidmouth Jeweller’s Friday night league was won by Matt Bavington with 36 points, writes John Barnard.
Two birdies (and two two’s) on holes four and second with just a double bogie on the eighth to slightly mar the card. Matt won by one point from Mark Thomas with 35 points.
His birdie on the last meant he beat Luke Sheppard. His double bogie on the 16th, after a good back nine just cost him a place.
In the Sidmouth Jeweller’s Friday night league table Kevin Legg has a massive 42 point lead with Harrison Jones in second place and Mark Thomas’s good performance has moved him into third.
