The ninth round of the Sidmouth Jewellers Friday night league was won by Andy Mills who scored 38 points, one more than in form Mark Thomas, writes John Barnard.
Opening with two birdies in the first two holes, Andy raced into a good front nine and despite one no score, held his round together to the finish.
Mark will be regretting his bogie on the 18th which cost him another win. He was second on countback, due to his better back nine holes. Also finishing on 37 was Craig Melluish who had three birdies but two no scores, including the 18th which cost him a victory.
There is now £38 waiting in the Division Two ‘pot’ as there have been no birdies for two weeks now.
Mark has now ten points in the lead in the Friday night league with 53 points, with Craig Melluish in second place and Lee Wenham in third place, a further four points back.
