Sidmouth Jewellers victory for Davies

PUBLISHED: 11:03 09 October 2014 | UPDATED: 11:03 09 October 2014

The latest Sidmouth Jewellers Friday stableford was won by Graham Davies, writes Chris Roberts.

As the weather is about to change the scoring level is supposed to drop, but not so last Friday as Davies put together a winning score of 40 points. His round included 10 pars and a birdie finish on the eighteen to guarantee he went home with a spring in his step!

In second place by virtue of countback was Glyn Hewitt on 39 points edging Chris Roberts (not me I hasten to add, the other one at the club!), also with 39 points.

With Hewitt With Glyn carding a two on the twelve and Chris carding two two’s it was a tight call between them. In the league James Spiller holds an almost unattainable lead of 28 points lead over Jonathan Lee with three more rounds to come, but never count your chickens before they hatch James.
