This week Sidmouth ladies had a Fun Competition, and the format chosen was individual match play, writes Andrea Milton.
This is not a format we often play, so it was a great idea as a pre-season warm-up.
It gave everyone the chance to refresh their memories on match play rules and etiquette, ahead of the busy season of matches which are played both within the club and against many other visiting clubs too.
As usual, there was a good turn out despite a light drizzle.
Everyone is hoping for better weather on Saturday when the ladies Spring Meeting takes place.
This is the first big event of the golfing season for the ladies section and ladies captain Maria Clapp said she is looking forward to a great day!
