Sidmouth ladies were deserving winners when they played their final game of the County Lane League campaign, writes Carol Smith.

They were in action against Tiverton-based Mid Devon, who, unfortunately, could only field three of the four triples required and so Sidmouth should automatically be awarded the two points for the opposition defaulting.

The three Sidmouth rinks that did see action all did well and played their parts in what was an overall 60-34 success, which sees the team bank eight out of the 10 points.

The top Sidmouth rink was the one of Mary Turner, Janice Quinn and skip Chris Hamer with a brilliant score of 26-8. Well done, ladies.
