Sidmouth ladies travelled to Chardstock on Monday to play three teams of triples, writes Susie Bonnell.

Bowlers haven’t had the best of weather this summer season - if its not raining, then invariably its blowing a strong easterly! However, on Monday, the conditions were perfect for a good game of bowls.

Sidmouth won on two of the three rinks, with the final score being 51-43 in their favour.

The top scoring rink for Sidmouth was the one led by Eileen Hewett together with Janet Smith and Chris Hamer. Well done, ladies - well worth the journey.
