On the last Monday of April, eight of Sidmouth Ladies Indoor Bowls section attended the AGM of Devon County Ladies Indoor Bowls Association at the Devon Hotel in Exeter, to collect the trophy awarded to them for being runners up in The Foxlands League Division Two, writes Mary Turner.
An enjoyable lunch was had by all, followed by the presentation of trophies.
Representatives of the sixteen strong Foxlands squad who collected the trophy were; Jill Bishop, Jean Brimson, Eileen Hewett, Carol Smith, Mary Turner and Paddy Wrench.
The rest of the squad unable to attend were; Susie Bonnell, Ann Capon, Paddy Chew, Karen Holiingdale, Jan Jameson-Bates, Zena Johnson, Wendy Limpus, Jane Painter, Brenda Somerfield and Mary Smith.
Other ladies who who played as substitutes during the course of the season were Jean Green, Chris Hamer, Anita Mason, Elaine Reed and Shirley Rose..
County secretary Pat Harvie and club member Jean Green also attended.
