Sidmouth Ladies played a County Prize competition on Wednesday and it produced a close finish.

On a hot day – though not quite as hot as had been forecast – three ladies all returned to the clubhouse with scores of plus one – in each case better than their handicap.

Countback was called into play and it left Margaret Thompson taking first place, Maria Clapp second and Sue Langdon third.

There were no twos recorded.

Today (July 30, the Sidmouth Sheila Creasy team are in action at Churston. Good luck, to them!
