A group of determined lady golfers entered the Scratch and Handicap competition last week, played over two rounds on two successive days, writes Penny Ashby.
Both cups were won this year by Sheila Thomson.
Similarly the runner-up for both cups was Penny Lyne.
This Wednesday, by way of light relief, there was a fun competition, in which players were limited to four clubs and a putter.
This was won by Susan Hackett with 37 points, with Susan Billinghurst in second place on 35 points, and Diana Anderson coming in third with 34 points.
