Sidmouth ladies met last Thursday, to play in the first of the club’s Rosemullion games, writes Susie Bonnell.

This club indoor competition runs for the duration of the indoor season and is a great opportunity for newcomer and veteran alike to compete against each other in different teams each week - collecting individual points along the way.

These points accumulate, giving everyone the opportunity to gain pole position and the prized Rosemullion trophy at the end of the indoor season. Making sense so far?

Last week, with 24 ladies rearing to go, Maureen Lamb - the new convener of the Rosemullion - organised the teams, dished out the blank score cards and set them off on their quest.

We will have to wait seven months to find an overall winner, but, if last Thursday is anything to go by, a lot of fun will be had on the way. If you fancy whiling away rainy dark afternoons having good fun with new friends, then think about joining the Sidmouth Bowls Club ladies, you’d get a very warm welcome.
