Last Wednesday the Sidmouth ladies’ President’s team played against the Sheila Creasy team, in a pre season match, writes Maria Clapp.
The Presidents had a convincing five-and-a-half to one-and-a-half victory.
The course played very well for the time of year with beautiful spring weather, players were out in short sleeves!
Players that were not involved in the match, played in a fun stableford competition. In first pace with 32 points was Marian Thomas with the runners-up spot going to Jane Renkin with 31pts. In third place was Penny Ashby on countback from Jill Jeffrey. Well done to Penny, as she is just recovering from a broken wrist!
