Playing at home the team were hopeful for a second win in a row with Jess Allen and Molly Adkin from the second team helping out the midfielders who otherwise had a combined age of approximately 150!

But Plymouth started strongly and were able to break through the defence and score.

After the weak start, Sidmouth picked up the pace and had many goal opportunities, but unfortunately, never quite managed to finish up with a goal. When the half-time whistle blew, Sidmouth were 4-0 down but still determined.

During the second half, Sidmouth were more aggressive and dominated possession, being rewarded with a one-time strike from Lea Pidgeon straight into the goal. However, not long after that there was a collision between Chloe Munn and a Plymouth player. On closer inspection Chloe was bleeding profusely and needed four stitches!

After conceding another goal Sidmouth were defeated, with a final score of 6-1. Well done to Karen Cann for being Duke’s Player of the Match. It was also good to see Chloe back at the club house afterwards showing off her new stitches.
