Sidmouth ladies sent out their first squad to play in the Over-55s Yellow League on Wednesday when they travelled to Heavitree, writes Susie Bonnell.
Two teams of triples went well prepared for the forecasted downpour of rain, but were delighted not to have to don their waterproofs at any time!
Indeed, the sun shone, which helped to dry the heavy green and the Sidmouth ladies had resounding wins on both rinks.
Wendy Limpus led her team of Pat Poole and Karen Hollingdale to best score of the day - a win of 26-8 and skip, Susie Bonnell was not far behind, with her team of Lynda Hargrave and Anita Mason who recorded a 21-9 success.
