On Wednesday, Sidmouth ladies travelled to play round three of the Inter Club competition.
The contest, against Kingsbridge Park ladies, was played at the neutral green of Britton Park Bowling Club, in Teignmouth.
The Sidmouth squad comprised of two teams; Jill Bishop (skip) with Ann Capon, Eileen Hewett and Jane Painter and Carol Smith (skip), with Jean Brimson, Susie Bonnell and Brenda Somerfield - plus a travelling reserve, Zena Johnson, and Mary Smith to oversee the game and any carry out any tricky measures when needed.
It was a nail-biting game which was only decided on the last end - giving Sidmouth a great win and the chance to play in the quarter-final on July 12.
Well done Sidmouth ladies, who all dug deep and battled on in very hot conditions to bring home another win. It’s what makes bowls such a great sport!
