Having secured their place in the first round of the Interclub competition Sidmouth Ladies met with St Thomas in a match hosted on neutral ground by Madeira, writes Suusie Bonnell.
Both the Sidmouth teams had a resounding win, ensuring their place in the Interclub round two!
Skip Jill Bishop, with her team of Pat Ashton, Pritchard, Zena Johnson and lady captain Valerie Newnham were 34-10 winners whilst Eileen Hewett skipper her team of Jean Brimson, Paddy Wrench and Chris Hamer to a 23-11 victory.
So it’s onwards and upwards - Sidmouth Ladies now play Kings from Torquay on Wednesday, June 11 at a neutral venue to be confirmed in due course.
With such strong results so far, we wish the Sidmouth ladies continued good luck.
