Sidmouth bowlers welcomed their great friends and rivals - Seaton - to Sidmouth Bowling Club for a friendly mixed game of bowls on four rinks, writes Susie Bonnell.
September weather has been very varied, with no guarantee that a three hour game won’t see rain, hail, wind, and sunshine all in one go!
This particular day was no exception (although we got away without hailstones).
Despite having waterproofs on and off at the beck and call of the weather, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, competitive, game.
On this occasion Seaton were the overall winners to the tune of an 81-69 score line, with Sidmouth drawing on one rink, losing on two and winning on the fourth rink. The Sidmouth winners were Wendy Cox, Jenny Fricker and Trevor Smith, led by skip, Frank Adlam.
