Last Friday, Sidmouth ladies’ past captains played for the past captains’ trophy, writes Maria Clapp.
This was presented in 2014 from a bequest from Ann Greenwood, a past ladies’ captain. Fewer ladies enter this now, as several of the past captains are sadly no longer with us. The winner on the day was Penny Lyne, who was the captain in 1999, with 35 points.Second place went to last year’s captain, Maria Clapp, with 33 points.
