After torrential rain and floods, there was an amazing recovery of the course at Sidmouth Golf Club for a fun but competitive match between the Ladies and Seniors Section on a sunny day to compete for the Millennium Salver at the end of September.
There had been a year’s break from this competition due to the pandemic but the Ladies displayed no sign of rustiness, or competitive spirit, as they enjoyed an impressive win of 9 matches to 5 against the men.
Commiserations chaps but at least we won’t get so many shots next year!
Heather Cowan and Ali Godwin also won the Warren Crocus Salver played at Dawlish - the first time Sidmouth has won this bronze award. Well done ladies for putting Sidmouth Golf Club on the map.
It has been a superb season for all at Sidmouth GC and now it’s all about the challenging conditions of winter.
