Sidmouth ladies played their penultimate round in what is a very competitive Indoor County league competition – the Foxlands – last Thursday, writes Susie Bonnell.
In this competition the two teams play at home and two play away - each winning team scores two points, drawing teams score one point and two points are awarded to the overall winning club - a potential maximum score of eight points.
Sidmouth ladies were delighted to secure seven of the eight available points, with a win on two rinks, a draw on one rink and one loss - giving them the additional two points for an overall win!
This leaves Sidmouth very well placed for going in to their final games on February 4, when they take on North Devon.
Fingers crossed (well not on the bowling hand!) - Sidmouth will be hoping for an equally good result.
