Sidmouth men were involved in a Saturday morning Devon Interclub League fixture, writes Carol Smith.

The team were in action for the third time in this season’s competition against Mid Devon and, when the two teams had met the month before, it was the Mid Devon team who won the fixture on the extra end, played after the teams had ended all square!

Unfortunately, the opposition were once again a little too good as they recorded a five shot win at 80-75.

As the score suggests, it was another close encounter of the bowling kind with Sidmouth winning on three of the four rinks and so banking six points from the meeting. The top Sidmouth rink was the one of Tony Brown, John Chew, Peter Mison and skip Ron Cook. The team currently sits in the top half of the table in fourth place.
