Sidmouth outdoor bowlers celebrate season with super Sunday Luncheon

The second Sunday of October saw the Sidmouth Bowls Club annual outdoor presentation take place, writes Carol Smith.

This year it was decided that rather than the usual evening presentation, the event would be staged as a Sunday luncheon.

That did leave some wondering if the switch was to offer ‘something different’ – or maybe it’s simply because we are getting that bit older! Some 45 members attended and it’s fair to say most of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Sidmouth’s Harbour Hotel.

Also, the ambience of the room was absolutely perfect for the occasion.

The prize-giving went off very well and it was so good to see lots of new faces picking up their trophies – as well as some of the older ones!
