The Sidmouth ladies’ Over-50s Blues played their final game of the season when they took on neighbours, and good friends, Budleigh.
Things were not quite so ‘friendly’ on the green with Sidmouth winning handsomely on both rinks to bank all six points from the meeting.
The result could mean that Blues will move into second place behind Crediton Green in the final table.
In terms of the rink scores; Janet Thomson, Eileen Hewett and skip Jill Bishop (24-16) and Mary Turner, Zena Johnson and skip Jane Painter (28-16).
It was also the end of the campaign for the men’s Over-60s Triples League C team and over their final three games they banked a super 20 points, which was enough to lift them clear of the threat of relegation and so they will start next season once again in Division Seven.
