First up were a mixed team form Carshalton Beeches, Sutton in Surrey which proved a very enjoyable and competitive game.

On Thursday the men’s section held their annual Captain’s Day with the past captain Ivan Robins challenging the future captain John Greenaway.
It was the Robins team that was acclaimed winners with a score line of 107-58.
Team scores were: Harry Carpenter, Gordon Blood and skip Ron Cook (22-9); Ken Bridgman, Ken Day and skip Chas Coates (21-14); Dennis Moore, George Hudec and Brian Smith (26-9).
Prior to the match members took part in a Spider which raised funds for the clubs nominated charity MND support group.
Last, but certainly not least this week, congratulations to our Exeter Over-60s B team on gaining promotion to Division Two.
With one game to play they could yet win the league depending on the outcome of Morchard Bishops final game.
The A squad are safe and will play in Division One again next year as they cannot be overtaken in their last game, which sees them take on Culm Vale.
