Two Sidmouth members took on the Macmillan Challenge to play 72 holes of golf on the longest day, to raise funds for the charity, writes John Barnard.
For most golfers at Sidmouth, 18 holes is quite enough although once a year, we play a 36-hole competition so 72 holes is a real challenge.
Daley Denning and Bradley Hayman managed to get round unscathed playing around 12 hours of golf and enjoyed a well earned drink in the clubhouse when they had completed all 72 holes while raising funds for the very worthwhile Macmillan charity.
