Sidmouth Pony Club are celebrating a terrific success at the Pony Club South West Regional Championship at Bicton Arena.
In all some 27 Pony Clubs were represented, all having qualified in heats held across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, competing in the show jumping class sponsored by Land Rover.
Sidmouth ended the show as overall champions. The team comprised of Antonia Evans and Izzy Read from Sidmouth, Maddie Whitfield from Colaton Raleigh and Evie Kilburn-Thompson from East Budleigh.
All five of the girls are members of the Sidmouth Pony Club and all have been schooled in equestrian at Sidmouth Riding near Bowd, a business which is owned by Carol Thompson.
The show jumping lasted all day and the Sidmouth Pony Club team followed their team triumph by all achieving clear rounds in the Individual jump-off.
