Sidmouth Bowls Club indoor leagues continue to flourish.

The latest matches in the Sidmouth Potburys League produced a close encounter and an emphatic success as well as one convincing success.

The two Sidmouth teams had very different fortunes!

Sidmouth Centurions were involved in a close encounter with Lyme Smugglers with the latter winning 20-18. It was nowhere near as close in the Sidmouth Matadors versus Budleigh Salterton match with the Matadors winning 32-13.

The other match saw Exmouth Beachcombers defeat Honiton falcons 26-19.

In latest round of matches in the Sidmouth Bowls Club Ladies Triples League saw only the second draw of the season.

It was something of a surprise for it was in the meeting between then table-topping Diamond and basement dwellers Coral.

Both teams scored 25 in a close encounter.

Emerald took over at the top after their 22-10 success over Opal while Amethyst defeated Ruby 22-13.

In the Sidmouth men’s triples league the two matches last week produced one eye-catching result.

That came in the meeting between unbeaten Red Bull and Lotus who went into the match having won one and lost two of their first three matches in the season.

The form book was ripped up as Lotus recorded a 20-9 victory.

The other match saw Mercedes defeat Ferrari 20-14.
